Character Design: Xfinity’s “No Doubt” (2026 Winter Olympics)
Following its broadcast debut during the 2026 Winter Olympics, here is a look at my character design and digital sculpting process for the “Doubt” creature featured in Xfinity’s latest campaign.
Working under the Legacy Effects umbrella, my role was to collaborate with acclaimed director Noam Murro to bring this character to life from early concept to the final on-camera asset. Initially, I started with some furry, insecure little creatures, but the direction was to make him appear a bit more disheveled and slightly neurotic.
Ultimately, I’m pleased where we ended up, and the commercial turned into a pretty sweet spot, especially with the score of the Maxence Cyrin cover of “Where is My Mind”.
Production Highlights:
• Character Visual Development: Designed the performance-driven “Doubt” creature, balancing a highly expressive, organic character aesthetic with the technical demands of a seamless live-action integration.
• Pipeline Delivery: Executed the high-fidelity 3D digital sculpts and geometry used as the core blueprint for the character’s physical and digital VFX execution.
